I think we will all remember the spring of 2020.
The confusion.
The worry.
The feeling of being scared of what it is to come.
What is to come of the world when this is all over?
Will this make us question our safety?
Or our well-being?
Honestly,
I hope to just cherish everything a little bit more.
The feeling of escaping to see your friends or loved ones.
The feeling of drinking a cup of coffee at your favorite coffee shop.
The feeling of sitting down with a few close people to catch up with after a long week with a crisp fresh beer at your favorite brewery
The feeling of returning to practice, seeing your teammates, and finally playing the game you love again (for me, seeing my players).
The feeling of going over to your friend’s house to play board games.
The feeling of being able to go to work and interacting with everyone.
The feeling of returning to school and being able to hug your classmates.
I know we all miss life.
I know we all miss things we took for granted two weeks ago.
Life, everyday life, will return.
And when it does, I want to cherish it.
I want to cherish whatever it may look like.
Us, as human beings, will make it through this.
It may be dark; it may be lonely.
But…
This, too, shall pass.
